Wireless Intrinsically Safe Load Pin 📰
2nd Aug 2024Ready for despatch early next week is this ATEX and IECEx approved Ex i (Intrinsically Safe) 80,000lb/36 tonne wireless load pin. It will be shipped to a customer in Canada that specialises in the manufacture of snubbing equipment and well servicing products, and will be installed in a sheave wheel to provide measurement of the tension in the cable as it runs over the wheel. The load pin incorporates a 12TPI thread to suit an AN20 lock nut for simple installation and securing in position, and has also been supplied with an X24-HD hand-held display which can be used in the hazardous area to display real-time line tension data. The customer needed the load pin on a short lead time, and LCM Systems were able to design and manufacture within six weeks.
