Intrinsically Safe 310te Shackle Load Pin 📰
11th Oct 2024These 310 tonne rated shackle load pins have been manufactured for an Italian company that specialises in the design, manufacture and installation of calm buoys. The load shackles will be installed on the topside of a calm buoy in a Zone 2 designated hazardous area, so the load pins have been supplied with Ex i (Intrinsically Safe) ATEX/IECEx certification. As they will also be located in a splash zone, they have been manufactured with environmental sealing to IP68 to ensure they are robust enough to operate in harsh weather conditions. Also supplied were external Ex i amplifiers to provide a 4-20mA output, and special ABS approved cable, to meet the strict classification requirements.
