Farewell Steve! 📰
7th Jun 2024This week we said a fond goodbye to Steve Sargeant, who has been with LCM Systems since he purchased the company in 2001. Over the last 23 years he has taken the business from a small load cell manufacturer with an annual turnover of around £500,000, to a global player offering load cell engineering and design expertise to market sectors including oil & gas, marine & offshore, aerospace and heavy lifting, with a turnover of £3.8m in 2023. Steve steered the company as Managing Director through years of significant growth until June 2023, when LCM Systems was sold to Interface Inc. Steve then relinquished his role as Managing director, but was retained on a consultancy basis for a further year to help support and advise the new owners as the company made the transition away from his leadership. There is no question that the company is in the great shape it is today due to Steve's perseverance, drive and dedication, and his extensive knowledge of all things load cell related (having been in the industry for 40 years) will be impossible to replace.
As a keen golfer we are sure that Steve will be making the most of his new found freedom, and will soon be working on his already very impressive handicap. We sincerely wish him all the best and thank him for what he has achieved in making LCM such a successful business and a wonderful place to work.
