50kN Intrinsically Safe ATEX/IECEx Load Cells 📰
25th Apr 2025These tiny WAS stainless steel washer/through hole compression load cells have been ordered by one of our Netherlands customers. Predominantly used for bolt tension monitoring, these 50kN load cells have an external diameter of just 38mm and height of 15mm. They are the first products to be manufactured under our new ATEX and IECEx Intrinsically Safe certification, which has been updated to include suitability for use in Zone 0 as well as Zones 1 & 2 hazardous areas. The WAS is one of our standard products, with load capacities starting from 12.5kN up to 540kN, although higher capacity and custom design versions are available on request, including both Explosion Proof (Ex d) and Intrinsically Safe (Ex i) versions.
