150kg Aluminium Load Pin 📰

For one of our UK customers we have manufactured this small (Ø25mm x 105mm) aluminium load pin. Rated to just 150kgs, a standard stainless steel construction would not produce a significant enough strain level to provide an output that would be noise free or accurate. By using a high quality aluminium alloy with a Young’s Modulus 3 times less than stainless steel, we achieved an output of 1.8mV/V and accuracy of better than ±0.5%. Without our load pin knowledge and expertise the customer would have had major issues finding an acceptable solution for his micro winch application.
