12 x Load Pins for Mining Application 📰
15th Sep 2017Recently despatched were 12 x load pins with various dimensions (up to 605mm in length) and ratings up to 30 tonnes. They will be installed in a torque arm arrangement to measure the forces applied on belt conveyors. Because they will be used in a mining application the environmental conditions are particularly harsh, and the load pins will have to withstand a dust laden environment with high humidity (88% average) and heavy driving rain (5000mm per year). The machining finish specified was F5 (-0.036 to -0051 tolerance), requiring a ground finish. Each load pin was fitted with an integral amplifier to provide a 4-20mA output, was rated to IP67 and supplied with 3.1 material certification.
