1000lbf/450kg Load Pins for Speed Boat 📰
31st Jan 2025These tiny 1000lbf (450kgs) rated load pins have been designed to fit into an actuator boat bracket mounted on the transom of a speed boat. The actuators facilitate the operation of foils which are used to help increase fuel efficiency, and the load pins will monitor the forces required to operate the foils for testing purposes. With a diameter of just 7.7mm, these load pins needed to withstand extremely harsh conditions, being submersed during use and in speeds of up to 25 knots. Constructed from fully welded stainless steel, the load pins are environmentally sealed to IP68 (with IP69 rated cable glands) and all internal cavities have been gel filled as an extra level of sealing protection, given the extreme operating conditions.
